Event Activity
In the figures below, event activity (counts of events, such as in-patient hospital admissions) is reported for each of 12 data sources for each of three date ranges.
Data sources:
- APCS
- Appointment
- CPNS
- CodedEvent
- EC
- ICNARC
- ONS_Deaths
- OPA
- SGSS_AllTests_Negative
- SGSS_AllTests_Positive
- SGSS_Negative
- SGSS_Positive
Date ranges:
- The most recent 30 days for which there is event activity
- Event activity from the first occurrence on or after 1 February 2020 to the last occurrence on or before the report run date (19 December 2023)
- Event activity from the first occurrence on or after 1 January 2016 to the last occurrence on or before the report run date (19 December 2023)
The OpenSAFELY-TPP database only includes patients who were registered at GP practices using TPP's SystmOne clinical information system (which is used by roughly 40% of GP practices) on or after 1 January 2009, including those patients who have since deregistered or died. The OpenSAFELY-TPP database therefore captures event activity for these patients only.
